Mersey Valley Veal and Prosciutto Rolls

Method

Pound veal steaks between layers of plastic wrap until 5mm in thickness. Spread each veal steak with Mersey Valley Pickled Onion Spreadable cheese and layer with a slice of prosciutto and a few leaves of spinach. Roll up to enclose filling and secure with skewers. Season with pepper and pan fry for 3 minutes on each side or until just cooked. Remove skewers and serve sliced with salad or vegetables.

  • 8 thin veal steaks
  • 150g Mersey Valley Pickled Onion Spreadable cheese
  • 8 slices prosciutto or shaved ham
  • 50g fresh spinach leaves
  • freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • olive oil, for pan frying
  • salad or vegetables, for serving
